Meet our team
Director & Occupational Therapist
Meet Terin! Two decades ago, Terin completed her graduate studies and ventured out to find her niche in the field of occupational therapy. After working in both private practice and public schools, she found that many children with SPD (Sensory Processing Disorder) were both misunderstood and misdiagnosed. She opened her own private practice in 2015 with a mission to change that.
All things sensory-related evolved as Terin's specialty. She has completed USC's Certification in Sensory Integration and is authorized to administer the SIPT (Sensory Integration and Praxis Tests), considered the "gold standard" for assessing sensory integration and praxis. She is also certified as a Therapeutic Listening Provider and Childrens' Yoga Instructor. Terin has special interests in wellness, and has sought out courses specifically related to how sensory integration and nutrition interact. Most recently, she pursued training in the SOS Approach to Feeding for picky eaters and problems feeders.
Terin holds a doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Shenandoah University. She also holds a faculty position at her alma mater. She was named 2007 "Educator of the Year" by the Arc of the Shenandoah Valley and has spoken at numerous workshops and conferences.
Meet Christina! She grew up in Winchester area before achieving her Bachelors Degree in Health Sciences at JMU. She went on to teach preschool and tutor children with learning differences in Northern California, prior to returning to school to get her Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy from Dominican University of California. Christina completed her capstone research project on Adaptive Gaming as Occupation.
Christina is one of the few clinicians in Virginia that is certified to administer the Evaluation in Ayers Sensory Integration (EASI). She is also certified in the Therapeutic Listening Protocol. She is in the process of completing a comprehensive course of Sensory Integration Theory to be certified in ASI.
Christina has a passion for working with all ages and loves getting to use her compassion and drive to help others achieve their goals. She lives in Winchester with her husband and two dogs, Clover and Olive.

Meet Brenna! After graduating with her Master's of Science in Occupational Therapy from Shenandoah University, Brenna went on to work in the acute care setting at a critical access hospital. Although she found her way back to the pediatric clinic, which was the setting that drew her to enter the occupational therapy field for the ability to mesh creativity with functional progress. Brenna especially enjoys working with kids on executive functioning disorders and with ADHD. On her weekends, you might catch Brenna wrangling her chickens -- and her turkey, also known as Tina :)

Meet Katie! Our resident pro at any challenging behaviors, Katie has over 5 years of experience in the pediatric setting, both in the traditional clinic setting and untraditional equine assisted therapy. She holds a certification in Therapeutic Listening and is passionate about her work with children, no matter the age or stage. Katie has a love for animals, but will pass on the spiders and snakes. She may need some OT for her own tactile sensitivities in regard to being deathly horrified of the feeling of velvet!
Meet April! She holds over two decades of experience as an Occupational Therapist after achieving her Master's in Occupational Therapy from Shenandoah University. April has been a dedicated member of our Skyclimb team since 2016! Throughout her colorful career as an OT, she has worked with acute traumatic brain injury rehabilitation, Fairfax and Loudoun County Public Schools and inpatient acute care in the hospital setting.
Not only does April have experience with a multitude of diagnoses and how they impact children in both the home and school setting, but as a mother of four daughters, she is especially sensitive to the challenges that come with raising children. Her goal in treatment is not to "normalize" her clients, but instead focus on making life a little bit easier for them. When not in the clinic, you can find April volunteering with the PTOs of her daughter's respective schools, slinging Girl Scout cookies at booths or cheering on the sidelines of a weekend soccer game. In her free time, April has been planning adventures to get her family to achieve their goal of visiting all 50 states!
