Sensory Integration
& nutrition

Terin has dedicated over two decades to occupational therapy, specializing in helping children with sensory challenges thrive. After completing her graduate studies, she worked in both private practice and public schools, where she recognized that many children with Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD) were often misunderstood and misdiagnosed. This led her to open her private practice in 2015, focusing on providing effective support and interventions for these children and their families.

Terin holds USC's Certification in Sensory Integration and is authorized to administer the Sensory Integration and Praxis Tests (SIPT), the "gold standard" for assessing sensory integration and praxis. She is also a certified Therapeutic Listening Provider and Children's Yoga Instructor.

Terin has pursued advanced training in the SOS Approach to Feeding, addressing picky eating and feeding challenges. She has a special interest in the connection between sensory integration and nutrition. She has completed specialized courses to better understand how nutrition influences sensory processing and enjoys helping families integrate this knowledge into their everyday lives.

Terin earned her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Shenandoah University, where she also holds an adjunct faculty position. She has been named "Educator of the Year" by the Arc of the Shenandoah Valley. She has also presented at numerous workshops and conferences, as well as appeared on several podcasts.
