Sensory Integration
& nutrition

Meet Terin! Two decades ago, Terin completed her graduate studies and ventured out to find her niche in the field of occupational therapy. After working in both private practice and public schools, she found that many children with SPD (Sensory Processing Disorder) were both misunderstood and misdiagnosed. She opened her own private practice in 2015 with a mission to change that.

All things sensory-related evolved as Terin's specialty. She has completed USC's Certification in Sensory Integration and is authorized to administer the SIPT (Sensory Integration and Praxis Tests), considered the "gold standard" for assessing sensory integration and praxis. She is also certified as a Therapeutic Listening Provider and Childrens' Yoga Instructor. Terin has special interests in wellness, and has sought out courses specifically related to how sensory integration and nutrition interact. Most recently, she pursued training in the SOS Approach to Feeding for picky eaters and problems feeders.

Terin holds a doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Shenandoah University. She also holds a faculty position at her alma mater. She was named 2007 "Educator of the Year" by the Arc of the Shenandoah Valley and has spoken at numerous workshops and conferences.
